Cafe Update

The Garden Cafe at GL3 Community hub will commence offering takeaway and home delivery food from Monday 11th May 2020.

We will be offering takeaway food and freshly brewed coffees from 08:30 – 14:00 Monday to Saturday, and then offering a pre-order menu for home delivery in the evenings Monday to Friday.

All the details can be found via

We will be offering breakfast baps and full English breakfasts for takeaway until 10.30am, followed by a lunch menu of baked potatoes, sandwiches, toasties and tasty Thai dishes. Everything comes in suitable takeaway packaging and the drinks menu operates from 8.30am till 2.00pm so if anyone is missing some freshly brewed coffee then your prayers have been answered!

It is really important for everyone’s safety that we follow the social distancing protocols. For takeaway services we ask for people to call to place an order and we will then call back when you order is ready to collect. This will be ideal if you are heading in to Tesco to do some shopping. Contactless Payment can be made on collection.

For the evening food delivery service, we have developed an order form on our website so that you can select the food you would like delivered between 6.00 and 8.00pm. We are offering a choice of 5 different meals per day, with the chance to order for that day closing at 12 noon. We will collect payment on delivery, either by contactless (preferred) or cash. If you are self isolating or have elderly relatives that would welcome a break from cooking for a night then please do let us know.

Delivery is free of charge for any order over £5.00 (basically at least one meal ordered) and we will cover Innsworth, Churchdown and Churchdown Village.

We both look forward to being able to throw our doors open and welcome everyone in for a drink, but the time isn’t right for that yet. In the meantime, we are pleased to at least be able to offer freshly cooked tasty meals and drinks to those who are tired of cooking at home.

My wife Amy and I look forward to welcoming you soon!
